IRELAND HOCKEY.
Overview:
Media Abseiling was commissioned to deliver this high level window vinyl graphics installation for EY at their Irish Headquarters in Dublin. The project combined a celebration of Ireland’s sporting spirit, technical installation expertise and material durability to transform the building’s sleek glass façade into a powerful statement of support for the Irish Hockey Team during the Olympic Games.
BEFORE.
When we took on the project the carpark was a steel and concrete shell. The Media Abseiling team came in and transformed the industrial looking structures. The build of this banner wrap was intense!
To ensure the installation could withstand Dublin’s unpredictable weather, we used a premium Contra Vision vinyl, engineered specifically for glass applications like this. The material’s durability and resistance maintained it’s vibrant colours and sharp details throughout the Olympic campaign.
Its performance guaranteed that the graphics retained their visual impact for the duration of the project, with no fading, peeling, or loss of adhesion, allowing the display to remain flawless and impactful.
The finished installation turned the EY building into a vibrant symbol of national pride and Olympic support. The bold design and scale made the building impossible to ignore. The graphics functioned as both a striking piece of public art and an effective communication tool, engaging employees, visitors, and the wider community alike. Its visibility maximised the campaign’s impact, ensuring the message of support for the Irish hockey team resonated strongly with a wide audience during the Games.
The different sizes of windows (4 different sizes in total!) Made the designing and cutting of the vinyl important to get right and the change in artwork format meant that the images were clear and bold.
